            Stein am Rhein ist eine Kleinstadt westlich des Bodensees im Nordosten der Schweiz. Sie ist für ihre gut erhaltenen mittelalterlichen Fachwerkhäuser mit Fassadenmalereien bekannt, die rund um den Rathausplatz in der Altstadt zu finden sind. Am Rheinufer befindet sich das Kloster St. Georgen, eine ehemalige Benediktinerabtei mit einem Museum.

Stein am Rhein is a small town west of Lake Constance in northeast Switzerland. It is known for its well-preserved medieval half-timbered houses with facade paintings that can be found around the town hall square in the old town. The St. Georgen Monastery, a former Benedictine abbey with a museum, is located on the banks of the Rhine.
