The Ghost Forest - Der Geisterwald - a photo on Flickriver

Here you can see the ghost forest near the town Nienhagen on the Baltic Sea. This is the forest I was talking about yesterday and the only photo I brought back from here.
If you look at the shape of the trees, you can imagine where the name of the forest originated. The twisted trees certainly look very mystical, especially at dusk or in fog.
Unfortunately, you can find traces of tourists everywhere in the area and so it was very difficult to get an appealing picture composition. Nevertheless, I find this unusual forest very interesting. So I was simultaneously delighted and disappointed with this place. Two things that rarely happen at the same time.

Hier seht Ihr den Geisterwald bei Nienhagen an der Ostsee. Das ist der Wald, von dem ich gestern gesprochen habe und das einzige Foto, was ich von hier mitgebracht habe.
Wenn man sich die Form der Bäume anschaut, kann man sich vorstellen, wo der Name das Waldes seinen Ursprung hat. Vor allem in der Dämmerung oder bei Nebel sehen die verwundenen Bäume bestimmt sehr mystisch aus.
Leider findet man überall in der Umgebung Spuren der Touristen und so war es sehr schwer eine ansprechende Bildgestaltung hinzubekommen. Trotzdem finde ich diesen ungewöhnlichen Wald sehr interessant. Ich war also gleichzeitig begeistert und enntäuscht von diesem Ort. Zwei Dinge, die selten gleichzeitig auftreten.
