Light Change - Lichtwechsel - a photo on Flickriver

They are still shining bright, the lanterns on the Charles Bridge in Prague. But they will go out in a few minutes, because the detachment is already on its way and is constantly moving towards the horizon.
The city on the Vltava is just beginning a new day, but at the moment it's still pleasantly quiet around me. The voices of nature, the sound of the water under the bridge and the calls of seagulls in the air, can still prevail against the noise of civilization. That will change shortly.
As is so often the case, it is the photographers who are arriving first, because now there is still the opportunity to enjoy and photograph this beautiful backdrop in peace. Soon you will have to share space with thousands of tourists again. But by that time I won't be here for a while already.

Noch strahlen sie um die Wette, die Laternen auf der Karlsbrücke in Prag. Doch sie werden in wenigen Minuten erlöschen, denn die Ablösung ist schon auf dem Weg und bewegt sich unaufhörlich Richtung Horizont.
Die Stadt an der Moldau beginnt gerade einen neuen Tag, jedoch im Moment ist es noch angenehm still um mich herum. Noch können sich die Stimmen der Natur, das Rauschen des Wasser unter der Brücke und die Rufe der Möwen in der Luft, gegen den Lärm der Zivilisation durchsetzen. Das wird sich in Kürze ändern.
Wie so oft sind es die Fotografen, die zuerst ankommen, denn nun besteht noch die Möglichkeit diese wunderschöne Kulisse in Ruhe zu geniesen und zu fotografieren. Bald muss man sich den Platz wieder mit tausenden Touristen teilen. Doch zu diesem Zeitpunkt werde ich schon eine ganze Weile nicht mehr hier sein.
