Islands without water - Inseln ohne Wasser

            Sometimes its the unremarkeble things that gain our attention. This photo is an example for me. Basically thats a quite unspectacular photograph what I made during a walk on a cold and foggy november morning. Just after a while of thinking I realized what I was riveted from. I truly love the sea but unfortunately I have the chance to be there very seldom. These small islands on that rolling field did lead my thoughts there for a moment. So it’s not the eye what makes the photograph, it’s the heart. 

Manchmal sind es die unscheinbaren Dinge im Leben, die unsere Aufmerksamkeit auf sich lenken. Dies ist für mich ein Beispiel. Im Grunde ist das ein recht unspektakuläres Bild, welches ich bei einem Spazierung an einem kalten und nebligen Novembermorgen aufgenommen habe. Erst bei längerem Überlegen wurde mir klar, was mich daran so gefesselt hat. Ich liebe das Meer doch habe ich nur wenig Gelegenheiten an einem zu sein. Diese kleinen Inseln auf dem hügeligen Feld haben mich für einen Moment dorthin geführt. Es ist nicht das Auge, was die Bilder macht, es ist das Herz.
