Gold Leaf detail

            Here's another treatment of the Gold Leaf effect at the Mojave playa "fractal forest" Big Tree pattern. This effect only occurs for a few minutes with direct light at sunrise. Golden light beams reflect off the walls of very shallow channels, from fractions of an inch to inches, that converge into deeper channels. This is a drone image looking straight down from 400 feet.
