DEBOD TEMPLE, MADRID, 2022

            The Temple of Debod is the largest Egyptian temple located outside of Egypt.

It was not necessary to take the photo with a tripod. I took the picture it "handheld", since the lighting sources, placed on the ground, have an appreciable intensity.

However, there is no "modern" criterion for lighting the temple, because as the bulbs fail, they are replaced with bulbs of different tones, without following a standard criterion regarding the number of Kelvin degrees with which these bulbs should emit white light. .

In theory they are white lights, but some bulbs emit a warmer light and others emit a colder light, which is why at night the temple is seen with this variety of tones.

The Temple of Debod is a gift from the Egyptian people to the Spanish people for helping, like many other countries, to save many temples in Nubia that otherwise would have been submerged by the rise in the water level of the Nile River after the construction of the Aswan Dam (1968).

The temple of Debod is dedicated to the cult of the god Amun and the goddess Isis, it was built in the year 200 BC. and is located in a park in an elevated area of Madrid, maintaining its east-west axis, less than 1 km north of the Royal Palace.

El templo de Debod es el mayor templo egipcio situado fuera del territorio Egipto.

La foto no fue necesaria hacerla con trípode. Hice la foto "a pulso", pues los focos de iluminación, colocados en el suelo, tienen una intensidad apreciable.

Sin embargo no existe un criterio "moderno" de iluminación del templo, pues según van fallando los focos se van sustituyendo con focos de diferentes tonalidades, sin seguir un criterio normalizado respecto al número de grados Kelvin con el que deben emitir la luz blanca esos focos.

En teoría son luces blancas, pero unos focos emiten una luz más cálida y otros emiten una luz más fría, de ahí que de noche el templo se vea con esa variedad de tonos.

El Templo de Debod es un regalo del pueblo egipcio al pueblo español por ayudar, como muchos otros países, a salvar muchos templos de Nubia que de otra manera hubieran quedado sumergidos por la subida del nivel de las aguas del río Nilo tras la construcción de la presa de Asuán (1968).

El templo de Debod está dedicado al culto del dios Amón y la diosa Isis, fue construido en el año 200 a.C. y está situado en un parque en una zona elevada de Madrid, manteniendo su eje este-oeste, a menos de 1 km al norte del Palacio Real.
