Aboriginal Memorial Sydney - a photo on Flickriver

            YININMADYEMI Thou didst let fall is located near the historic site of a ritual contest ground on Gadigal land. The artwork honors the bravery and sacrifice of Aboriginal and Torres Strait islanders men and women who have served their country
This Monument comprises 4 standing bullets to represent those who survived and 3 fallen shells to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Indigenous Australians are known to have served in the colonial forces before federation And have proudly carried on this tradition of service. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders experienced the horror of war, Many made the ultimate sacrifice. Sadly equality for their sacrifice was never realized.
Lest we forget our first people and every other nation that sacrificed that made the free world.
