The past, the present and hope for the future - EXPLORED

I suppose like most people, I feel a little blown away when gazing up into the night sky on a clear night and seeing all the stars. The light from the furthest observable star (by the naked eye) traveled over 16,000 years to get here. The present in the title represents today and perhaps our hope for the future lies in the stars.

I took these shots looking to capture the Lyrids but I didn't seem to accomplish that.

Usually when I try these shots i also capture a number of aircraft because of the international flight paths we live under. Thanks to Covid-19 there wasn't a single flight overhead when I took these.

Technically this was about 160 shots of 25 seconds each sandwiched together with startrails www.startrails.de/ (free!!)

I love the result of these shots, even during a poor clarity night like this one. However I hate fighting the mosquitoes in the summer time or the cold on a night like this one. The camera I used for this shot has a wifi capability so I sat indoors and made adjustments using qslr dashboard dslrdashboard.info/ also free ! Much more comfortable !
