            5/4/2022 Jane's friend arrived on time and they both walked to our local cafe for a long chat. They did not get back before I decided a sortie to Flitwick Moor was worth a try. It is a large piece of mostly wooded swamp and marsh with a network of paths . I was staggered by the destruction wrought  on the woodland during the recent winter storms. Otherwise there were hardly any insects visible but a few flowers in the dryer spots. Afterwards I called to see Audrey and we had a good chat over a cuppa . She showed me one of her diving magazines telling in great depth the story of the caver who was rescued from your cave. The cave network was very extensive and Audrey showed me where she had been with her late husband.
