Japan, Hagi, Kikuya residence - a photo on Flickriver

Nous avons passé 2 jours à Hagi, un de nos coups de coeur du voyage. Hagi est une petite ville hors des sentiers battus avec un patrimoine impressionnant (un très beau quartier samouraï, de superbes temples et de magnifiques poteries). La résidence Kikuya est une maison de marchands de l'époque d'Edo. Alors qu'au Japon, il est interdit de dessiner dans de nombreux musées, lorsque les gardiennes m'ont vu dessiner, elles m'ont apporté un tabouret et un coussin. Un très beau souvenir.

We spent 2 days in Hagi, one of the highlight of our trip. Hagi is a wonderful off the beaten path town, with a well-preserved samurai district and many temples. The Kikuya residence is a beautiful merchent house from the Edo period registered as important cultural property. Different place, different rules; while in Japan, sketching is forbidden in many museums, the staff provided me a pillow and a stool when they saw me drawing.
