            47329 accelerates away from Water Orton heading back to the East Midland coalfields with a rake of empty 32 ton MGR coal hoppers, 27th May 1978.

Locomotive History
47329 was originally D1810 and was from a batch of eighty locomotives built at Brush, Loughborough. It was fitted with a Brush TG-172-50 Mk1 main generator and Brush TM64-68 Mk1a traction motors connected in an all parallel arrangement. Although all the fittings and pipework were provided for a steam heating boiler it was not fitted and was replaced with a concrete block for balancing purposes. It was built with dual brakes and fitted with slow speed control for Merry Go Round coal duties. It was renumbered 47329 in May 1974 and had its never used boiler water tanks removed in July 1979.

47329 entered traffic in February 1965, allocated to the Nottingham Division (Toton MPD). Apart from an eighteen month spell allocated to the Stoke Division (Crewe MPD) from March 1967 it would spend the next nineteen years on freight duties allocated to Toton. The next fifteen years were slightly more fluid with spells at Crewe (1984, 1989, 1997), Immingham (1988) and Bescot (1994). At the end of 1999 it entered the Brush Works at Loughborough for a new engine, alternator and refurbishment and emerged from in March 2000 as 57011 operated by Freightliner. In 2007 Freightliner started to replace its class 57s with new class 66 locos and 57011 moved to DRS. 57011 is currently (March 2021) in long term store at Longtown
