Vance building (aka Jefferson County Post) 1823 - Dandridge, Tennessee

Historic Dandridge, Tennessee bears the distinction of being the only town in the United States name after Martha Dandridge Washington, wife of our first President, George Washington. And, right in the middle of town is the Dandridge Historic District that was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 22, 1973 and includes the Vance Building built circa 1823. It is a Federal style of architecture, three-bay brick structure with archways and transoms that has served as home of the first Dandridge Telephone Exchange, Post Office, J.W. Vance Furniture & Funeral Parlor, and Harris General Merchandise. Recently the building underwent a certified historic restoration and, at the time of this photograph, was serving as the home of the Jefferson County Post.

Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D5200 and combined with Photomatix Pro to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.
