Brugge 2 - a photo on Flickriver

            Most of time I visit a city I take the requisite shots of the obvious attractions on offer but after those fish are landed it is the off the beaten track shots that I spend my time casting for and if you are lucky you find some great light as well.  This canal shot of Brugge exemplifies the characteristics I look for in my search for the less photographed locations and just happened to be behind the hotel that we stayed in.  One piece of advice I would offer is to use Google Maps and Google Earth to investigate the areas that you are staying at and travel the zone in street view to find the locations you would like to shoot and then look at when the light will be right to capture them. 

I took this on Oct 02, 2008 with my D70s and Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Lens at 50mm, 1/320s, f9  ISO 200 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia ,Topaz, and DXO Nik
