Temporary Housing, Poplar, Tower Hamlets 1984

I'm not quite sure where this was, but almost certainly somewhere along the north edge of the West India Docks. I had been in Mill Place in Limehouse, then had somehow got to Prestons Rd, taken another photograph of the high wall still around Poplar Dock and then this photograph, the final frame on the roll.

Clearly it was taken with a telephoto lens, and I think the lower wall is probably the railway line that is now used by the DLR and this is perhaps where Poplar Business Park now is, taken from close to Poplar High St.

I'd taken another photograph at the same place a few years earlier - and was equally unable to remember where that was. That earlier image - londonphotographs.co.uk/london/1982/30l-41.htm - was rather sharper, as this has suffered rather badly from camera shake, possibly because the guard dog mentioned on a security notice on the building was harassing me.
