Hamilton's Seat

This beautiful location can be reached from walking along the causeway cliff path in Co Antrim Northern Ireland. Having never been here before I wasn't exactly sure how long this would take,

It turns out it was a 50min walk from Dunseverick Castle car park on a really hot summer night it was a little tougher and almost twice as long as I had initially thought. With sunset fast approaching I was worried I was going to run out of time. Finally we arrived with only 25 mins before the sun dropped,

Scrambling around the cliff top trying to set up the camera, filters etc, I fired my first shot and my battery died, luckily I did remember to bring a spare got this changed only to find my memory card was full after the next shot.

Conscious that the light was disappearing with each passing minute my lack of preparation came back to haunt me, moral of the story is always spend a little time making sure your camera gear is ready to go and you know how long its going to take you to reach before you set out for a location.

I've seen many stunning images from here but
this location is so much more impressive when you are actually standing there taking it all in.
