            Copped Hall is a manor house burned down in 1917.  Until the mid-1990s it lay in ruins but is now being lovingly restored by a dedicated group of Friends, the Copped Hall Trust who now own the property.  A magical place with considerable historical interest (Shakespeare is thought to have watched the first ever performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream here).  The gardens, once extensive, still have wonderful English oddities such as this folly.
