Solitary

I'm a bit late to the Poppy Party as it were but I've been away on the South Coast and not able to post up and shots, rather than drive the 5 hours in one go I thought I'd have a break for a day in the Midlands and come shooting the fantastic Poppy fields that had appeared.

Really gorgeous to look at and difinitely the most I have ever seen in one place ever, I had 2 visits one day including sunset, and met up with Mark Waidson the day after for what I thoguht would be about an hour of a shoot, 3.5 hours later we were still there! such is testament to both the size of the area covered and variety of shots available.

I've got quite a few from here but I thought what better way to start than showing the main subject in singular form first.. with literally millions of Poppies here scattering the hilly countryside this little one was basking in the sunshine all on his own within the golden lit grass, demanding some attention of its own.

Summer is here.. while I love the weather Summer brings, can be a real nightmare for Photography with the times of day, still, not complaining ..
