Barred Owl | Strix varia | Chouette rayée

            "Who cooks for you?" I asked the owl, and it glared back at the question. 

Obtaining the image was fun, processing it was tricky. It was near dark and required ISO 6400 to bring the shutter speed to 1/160, not fast enough to avoid heavy noise. And I could not resist pushing the saturation to set the fall foliage aglow.
