Yellow-wattled Lapwing | Vanellus malabaricus | झिरडी

            Endemic to the Indian sub-continent. Found in dry, upland habitat. Photographed from our safari jeep on our first excursion through Gir National Park. 

The jeep allowed us to cover a lot of ground, revealing many potential photo subjects. But it couldn't leave the road, and had to keep moving to exit the park on schedule. This created, and hindered, many photographic opportunities.
