EXHIBITION Shots Fired in The City
It’s pretty difficult to make Dublin look vaguely similar to the great teeming capitals of the world. But this, we hope, is its charm. Condemned as it is, with a skyline replete with steeples and industrial chimneys it is sometimes easy to forget a boom even took place. This exhibition of Dublin-based photographers captures the somewhat hidden architectural splendour of the city, revealing a campus not to be smirked at. From the dank, ominous lanes that cross the city – pointing to an affiliation with cities anywhere in the world – to almost surreal landmarks unique to ourselves; an image of the incredible Sean O’Casey Building along with an almost homage to the Docklands suggest maybe less squinting and just a slight tilt of the head is in order. (Short Movie showcase tonight 8pm, Closing Party on Nov 7th from 7pm to 10pm)

A Greasemonkey script that adds Flickriver links to various Flickr photo pages - user photos, favorites, pools etc, allowing to quickly open the corresponding Flickriver view.

Also, allows quickly viewing any Flickr photo on black background in large size.
