Tren charter alquilado por PTG Tours a su paso por Cañete la Real en su recorrido Málaga-Algeciras.

            Nos habíamos desplazado hasta Andalucía para llevar a cabo un exhaustivo seguimiento de la circulación del tren chárter alquilado por PTG Tours, Como de costumbre, cada aparición del tren por los bellos paisajes andaluces producía un efecto balsámico en nuestro maltrecho espíritu "ferroaficionado". Todo estaba saliendo a la perfección, pero podría ser aún mejor si los responsables del tren decidiesen poner en cabeza la preciosa 1603. Es cierto que entre Almería y Granada había encabezado la composición, pero al circular en horario nocturno era impensable hacerle una foto que valiera la pena. Para colmo, en ese trayecto el tren se saltó la parada prevista en Guadix donde lo estábamos esperando con todo un despliegue de trípodes. Al día siguiente, más de lo mismo y con un disgusto tremendo tras oír que en Linares la habían separado de la composición para repostar aceite ya que, por lo que se rumoreaba, tenía problemas mecánicos. El miércoles, la esquiva 1603 volvía a salir de Málaga detrás de sus hermanas pero, al menos, pudimos comprobar en la misma estación que la locomotora estaba al ralentí por lo que cabía la remota posibilidad de que se pusiera en cabeza del tren entre Bobadilla y Algeciras. Cuando nos confirmaron que nuestro deseo se había hecho realidad, casi lo vivimos más como un disgusto que como una alegría. Por culpa de las sombras de la mañana nos habíamos tenido que desplazar a un punto  alternativo donde la "cara negra" estaba garantizada. Mientras mis compañeros se desplazaban por el monte buscando un punto mejor iluminado, yo empecé a obsesionarme con un posible encuadre lateral y no les presté la debida atención hasta que empezaron a gritarme para que me acercara hasta donde ellos se encontraban. Como son gente con muy buen criterio, comencé a correr por un campo embarrado como si tuviera treinta años menos y llegué con tiempo más que suficiente para hacer la que considero la mejor foto de este fabuloso viaje por Andalucía. Trenes maravillosos y amigos todavía mejores, ¿Se puede pedir algo más?

We had traveled to Andalusia to carry out an exhaustive monitoring of the circulation of the charter train rented by PTG Tours. As usual, each appearance of the train through the beautiful Andalusian landscapes produced a soothing effect on our battered "rail-amateur" spirit. Everything was going perfectly, but it could be even better if those in charge of the train decided to put the precious 1603 at the head of the train . It is true that between Almería and Granada it had led the composition, but when traveling at night it was unthinkable to take a worthwhile photo of it. To make matters worse, on that journey the train skipped the scheduled stop in Guadix where we were waiting for it with a whole array of tripods. The next day, more of the same and with tremendous disgust after hearing that in Linares they had separated this locomotive from the composition to refuel oil since, according to rumors, it had mechanical problems. On Wednesday, the elusive 1603 was leaving Malaga again behind its sisters but, at least, we were able to verify at the same station that the locomotive was idling so there was a remote possibility that it was leading the train between Bobadilla and Algeciras. When a friend  confirmed that our wish had come true, we almost experienced it more as a disappointment than a joy. Because of the shadows in the morning we had to move to an alternative point where the "black nose" was guaranteed. While my companions moved through the bush looking for a better illuminated point, I began to become obsessed with a possible lateral framing  and I did not pay due attention to them until they began to yell at me to come closer to where they were. As they are people with very good judgment, I started running through a muddy field as if I were thirty years younger and I arrived with more than enough time to take what I consider my best photo of this fabulous trip through Andalusia. Wonderful trains and even better friends, what more could you ask for?
