Serenaded at Sea

            A young passenger seems to be entranced by the smooth jazz of the Fine Whines in the atrium of the Disney Fantasy, as the captain looks on, enjoying the music and the young fan.

We really enjoyed the Fine Whines -- a duo from England who play great tunes from the 20s through about the 50's on a variety of brass instruments. They played in the atrium several times throughout the week as well as in a nice but somewhat corridor-like nightclub called La Piazza.

Both Michelle and I thought their music really suited the "golden age of ocean travel" ambiance of the ship.

In addition to the Fine Whines there was a duo called the Northern Lights who did a great job with modern pop tunes, a Brazilian duo, and a solo guitar player, all playing at various times and locations around the ship.

I thought they all sounded really good and loved having so much live music around.
