5am on the lagoon - a photo on Flickriver

5am on the lagoon

            5.13 am on the Ice Lagoon at  Jökulsárlón, I drove to the lagoon from Hali at 4am as the storm earlier in the night had moved on, to the right you can see glow of the fissure eruption at Holuhraun, a faint Aurora in the middle and the Öræfajökull  volcano covered in clouds to the left. A large dust cloud is moving through the centre, I drove through one of these on the way to the lagoon, a night worth getting up for.
