ROSE-FACED PARROT Pyrilia pulchra at the town named 23 de Junio south of San Miguel de Los Bancos in Northwestern Ecuador on August 1, 2013. This Rose-faced Parrot and its nestmate were at a nest hole located just behind and to the left of this bird.

Previously, Pyrilia pulchra went by the scientific name Pionopsitta pulchra.

The geographic distribution of the Rose-faced Parrot is in western Colombia and western Ecuador.
