Uncanny, but fascinating how easy it is to create this sort of image.

The "uncanny valley" is a hypothesis describing a dip in positive emotional response to a human-like entity when it appears almost, but not exactly, like a real human, resulting in feelings of unease or revulsion. This phenomenon is most commonly observed with humanoid robots, androids, and realistic CGI characters, where slight imperfections are perceived as strange or creepy. 

With this sort of "half and half" image that started as a photograph where do you draw the line between real and fake? Is this any "less real" than a photo retouched image of a model in a fashion magazine where body shape, skin blemishes and tone have all been altered. Given the right costume and lighting you could produce this as a photograph.

It all leaves me feeling a little "uneasy".
