            The Conservative Party chairman has been criticised after saying people struggling with bills should get a "new job".

Rossendale and Darwen MP Jake Berry made the comments as he defended the government's mini-budget at the party's conference.

Mr Berry, who also serves as Tory chairman, said households should "cut their consumption" or "get a higher salary" to cope with rising bills.

And this from a man elected by "the people"  !!!!! 
I think he must be on a different planet to the rest of us - - - 

The BBC has approached the Conservatives for comment - and received no reply - well what a surprise.

I don't often comment on politics - but some times  Its just difficult to believe people say these things "out loud"  - not "off the cuff" but in a planned and scripted speech. He obviously doesn't think much of his electorate.
