Pogonophobia

            Sounds like it should be the title of a thriller, -
Maybe this could be the film poster.

Actually pogonophobia is the fear of beards or bearded men.

In August 2013, Christopher Oldstone-Moore, history lecturer at Wright State University in Ohio, and author of The Beard Movement in Victorian Britain commented, "Facial hair for the past century has been thought to reflect a suspicious streak of individuality and defiance... Politicians, public servants and businessmen – and apparently journalists – risk their reputations if they abandon the razor."

Things have changed a little over the last 10 years -

Celebrities like Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Gosling got on board and helped shape the style. The most recent Avengers film was the first in which all the superheroes had facial hair, Portner points out, a testament to its enduring appeal. Bucky Barnes has groomed stubble, Black Panther looks slick in a box beard and Doctor Strange rocks a goatee.

I have to admit I quite like this little Sony a6300, but close up self portraits without a flip round screen are a bit hit and miss. Sony really missed a trick not giving this range of cameras a screen that flips round.
