Hidden Vortex

            I love the challenge of finding new compositions in familiar settings. The coastline of the Moray Firth is dotted with little nooks and crannies like this where the water creates many different patterns depending on the tide and intensity of the waves. I have walked past this spot many times before and not ever seen the water swirling here like this. I guess it is more a case of being in the right place at the right time whilst keeping a keen eye out for possibilities. This little stretch of coastline is just to the east of Findochty in Morayshire, Scotland.
