082919 - Thunderstorm & Thunderheads (Video)

August 29, 2019 - Yanney Heritage Park - Kearney Nebraska US

Planning on Chasing Hurricane Dorian and I had my plane tickets out to North Carolina on a Flight on the 3rd of September. I had all my equipment packed and shipped out to North Carolina. Was supposed to pick up my new truck... Though Airlines I booked my flight on had called and said they cancelled the flight due to the Hurricane.

ALL of my equipment was on that package and I won't be able to pick any of it up now til late October. With my nice 4k camera broke... yes it got smashed in the storm out in Colorado. I had to find a way to get this photographic day into my camera view! But what camera... Old broke camera I had used. Older T3i I had the battery charged in good condition and ready to go. Changed the spare lens and I was in luck! It worked!

Folks this was right down a few blocks from my home here in Kearney Nebraska. This thunderstorm didn't become severe until it passed over the city of Kearney. But as it approached... the sky was talking and I was listening...

Taking a few hundred pics of what was in front of me. A wicked good photographic stormscapes and some epic Nebraska Thunderheads!
