Your probably wondering why ... since I only take storm pics... why would I do something like this....

I'm a HUGE #Nebraska #Cornhusker Football and in fact ALL #Husker sports, but especially Nebraska Football.

When my father was alive, we had spent many Awesome days in this Stadium. He saw the 70-71 National Championship Here. He would tell me stories of how the stadium looked back in the 60-70's. I've walked the halls of this place. It has tons of eye candy. If you have never been here...You should come and visit... Its one of the many reasons why they say... There is NO PLACE LIKE NEBRASKA.

Growing UP....I've had my own Adventures here. We were season ticket holders for many years. Coming from our own big family means only a few of us could go on any given Husker Saturday. I used to sit outside of the stadium with my sisters, attending UNL, outside of the stadium during game days when I was super young. Watching the croud, the band and all that is before the game. So much excitement in the air. Simply Saying... This place means alot more to me than Huskers Football.

2018...I had attended the #WeatherFest held @ on the UNL campus on this day. Lots of fun, met a ton of interesting people dedicated to weather. But after the event... 3 blocks away... I couldn't resist.

So a special thank you to the front desk man at Memorial Stadium that afternoon. I had come in with camera in hand and had asked if I could go take a picture of the stadium. Practice had just ended and they had about 100 recruits loading onto buses as i had walked in. And the Gentleman @ the Front Desk Said... "Son I'm afraid I can't do that. We simply don't don't or can't do that for anyone sir...."

I was highly disappointed... though with persistence... I stated that (which is all true) that we were season ticket holders for about 18 years. Sat in the North Stadium... Told him some Husker Lore from days past....

He said then... "Ok Son.... Hold on for 10 mins and I"ll walk you back there. There's no harm done by taking some pictures of an empty stadium"...

He took me down the through the main lobby down and through the Historic Gates the team runs out of... He said... Don't go on the field but you can go to the 50 Yard line and do your thing...."

Not a Soul in the Stadium.. I kinda felt like "RUDY"...

I was only there for about 5 mins.. but every minute felt Euphoric... There is magic in the air here....

In Honor of the Spring Game 2018!!!
