            When taking photographs of insects in the wild, there is always a big element of surprise. You can't fully appreciate the beauty of such a small animal with the naked eye, and even on the LCD screen of your camera, the image is too small. So you have to wait until you can screen it on your PC. And as most of this loved creeps don't stop crawling around, catching them under the right angle can be difficult. It's quite a challenge, but a very rewarding one.
This is what happened with this picture. All of a sudden this hover fly looked right into the lense.
