Moon Dance...

A full Moon shone like a beacon through the grey the mist filled skies,. a solitary tree silhouetted against the darkness punctuated the listless night. The cold white moon drifted across the forlorn sky of winter. meandering with the mist across the horizon dipping behind the leaf bare stark winter tree.

I was doing my household duty putting the garbage out when i noticed the moonlit sky, it was so picturesque; i quickly headed back inside grabbed my camera, quickly slipped my boots on and headed out into the night... i snapped a few quick test shots! All the while the chill snapped against my exposed skin like tiny daggers... i was out without my coat or-even gloves .. but as any photographer knows, i had only moments to get this shot before the moon disappeared or rose too high in the sky to get the composition i was looking for.

I was shivering now as the winters bite tried to chase me inside, I set up my last shot; lowered my aperture, checked my histogram one more time, locked my exposure and made a final adjustment to my ISO and shutter speed. Braced my self against the garage wall for a more stable shot , locked my arms tight to my sides and pulled the camera as tight to my face as possible, inhaled and gently squeezed off one last shot.

This is the photo.? I think it was worth all the effort, I hope you like it!
