The Icy Decent - a photo on Flickriver

The Icy Decent

            White River on Mt Hood is always a trusty photo subject. This image was taken low to emphasize the rocks.  This was a classic, shoot-wipe situation because that icy cold water was continually plashing onto the lens.  I had to use an ND to get the water to blur the way I wanted.  I took to the mountain to test my new snow shoes.  I even trekked out to a waterfall while I was up there, but did not get any images there that I liked.  I am hoping the snow shoes will open up some new areas for me.
