Capturing the light, DC style - a photo on Flickriver

            Like every situation, I wanted to shoot an icon, but putting a new spin on it is always difficult.  So I found myself here at the Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC thinking, how could I make this mine.  How could I make it different.  I had the color in the sky, but only for a few more minutes.  Think, think.  Maybe from this angle, is that new?  No.  From here?  No.  "Hay Tom, get out of frame...wait!  Stay there."  I tried getting the artist in the frame. I liked it.  I do have the same image without my buddy Tom in the frame, but honestly, I liked this one much better.
