The Hwy 395 View Point : Rabbitbrush, Juniper Trees, and the Eastern Sierra wreated in Smoke

            11.10.18 - Photo taken from the southbound Hwy 395 view point on the Sherwin Grade with a Yashica Mat 124 G twin lens reflex vintage camera and Cinestill 800T color 120 film. 

This was the week of the terrible California wild fires, and when I drove around the corner and saw all the smoke in the Owens Valley, I was a bit appalled - so I decided to document it. I think this smoke was from the fires near Lone Pine and perhaps controlled burns.

My light meter did not read the scene right, or the film did not like going through the X-ray machine at LAX, or something as the film came back overexposed, so I have done some small corrections in Lightroom to make it look a little more like what I saw.
