            "Esa belleza era intensificada por los maravillosos cielos australes. Nimbos, cirros, estratos, en atardeceres y amaneceres rojos. Cúmulos en tardes tormentosas; transparencia cuando el cielo  se despejaba después de las nevadas, difracción de la luz al golpear las cortezas de los árboles o al posarse en una hoja rojiza, construían esa magnificencia de los cielos y sus efectos. En cada estación del año, en cada hora del día, en cada ángulo del sol, en cada filtro de nubes, había la posibilidad de apresar una nueva imagen, siempre diferente a cualquiera anterior."
