my hope is that what was true for Seneca will be equally true for us. in other words, that our descendants hundreds or thousands of years from now will become so adept at sorting truth from lies, and facts from beliefs, that our current struggles with disinformation will seem ludicrous.

"reality" is just so insanely subjective. even putting reality into quotes here -- what does that mean?

probably that i shouldn't have taken seven philosophy courses in community college in the early 90s.

research librarians and data miners are the heroes we need now.
