Hope For The Philippines - a photo on Flickriver

            Day 129 - May 10, 2010

Posting this on my 24th hour here at work. I assume I have about 8 hours left  before I get a chance to hit the sack. 

As I type this, 69% of the votes cast during yesterday's Presidential election have been counted and Sen. Noynoy Aquino, son of former President Corazon Aquino of EDSA People Power Revolution fame is in a clear lead in the race towards the Presidency.

Regardless of political preference most of us in the Philippines are hoping for change, and a leader that will dig us out of this slump and stir the country into the forward direction that we definitely need to be heading. 

I on the other hand feel like I am heading downwards. Although I maintain my cheery and bubbly exterior, I feel a lot weak in the knees and might just faint. =D But all is well, this should all be over soon.
