11th MEU Recon Marines conduct JMPI before free-fall operations in Kuwait

            AHMED AL-JABER AIR BASE, Kuwait (Oct. 12, 2021) Marine Corps MV-22B Ospreys attached to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 165 (Reinforced), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), prepare for take-off before military free-fall operations at Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base, Kuwait, Oct. 12, 2021. The 11th MEU and Essex Amphibious Ready Group are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
