Ariel Suspension

Being suspended in the air and traffic now being suspended, The Maldon Suspension Bridge opened in 1903 and was replaced by a new bridge in 1980, is seen in this view taken Tuesday, 28th January 2020. The bridge has been damaged by two fires, a bush fire in January 1939 severely damaged the bridge and the original timber towers were replaced with identical steel ones; and approximately 20 x 6 metre section of the bridge was damaged in a fire in August 2016 and the damage is evident in this scene.
