Heute zeige ich Euch Drohnenfotos der Kloster/Schlossanlage Dargun.

Der aus dem Renaissanceschloss und der im Stil der Backsteingotik erbauten Klosterkirche bestehende Hauptkomplex ist nach einem Brand der Anlage im Jahr 1945 nur noch als gesicherte Ruine erhalten.
Die Klosterkirche geht auf die bereits bei Klostergründung 1172 vorhandene Kapelle zurück und wurde in mehreren Bauabschnitten im 13. Jahrhundert zur gotischen Hallenkirche in Backstein erweitert. 1241 fand die Grundsteinlegung des Kirchenbaus statt, von dem sich heute die Ruine des westlichen Langhauses erhalten hat.
Von 1556 an wurde das Kloster über die nächsten zweihundert Jahre zu einem vierflügeligen Schloss umgebaut. Die breiten Fronten wurden mit Ecktürmen betont. 1637 brannte das Schloss aus und wurde bis 1654 erneuert. Bis Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts diente das Schloss als Witwensitz der Mecklenburg-Güstrower Linie. Später wurde es als Wohn- und Verwaltungssitz genutzt. Das im 19. Jahrhundert unter der Leitung von Georg Adolf Demmler nochmals umgebaute Schloss brannte gegen Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges in den ersten Maitagen 1945 völlig aus und verfiel in den Folgejahren.

Today I will show you drone photos of the Dargun monastery and palace complex.

After a fire in the complex in 1945, the main complex consisting of the Renaissance castle and the monastery church built in the style of brick Gothic is only preserved as a secured ruin.
The monastery church goes back to the chapel that was already there when the monastery was founded in 1172 and was expanded in several construction phases in the 13th century to become a Gothic hall church in brick. In 1241 the foundation stone of the church was laid, of which the ruins of the western nave have survived today.
From 1556 onwards the monastery was rebuilt into a four-winged castle over the next two hundred years. The broad fronts were emphasized with corner towers. The castle burned down in 1637 and was renovated by 1654. Until the middle of the 18th century, the castle served as a widow's seat for the Mecklenburg-Güstrow line. Later it was used as a residential and administrative headquarters. The castle, which was rebuilt again in the 19th century under the direction of Georg Adolf Demmler, burned down towards the end of the Second World War in the first days of May 1945 and fell into disrepair in the years that followed.
