No-today, they met their fate in a blaze of cardboard glory.

I'm wielding a marshmallow stick like a scepter, squinting through smoke and questionable life choices. The fire roars. The porch creaks. The house remains unscorched, which feels like a small miracle.

This is not just cleanup.
This is ritual.
This is the sacred bachelor bonfire-where stale intentions go to burn, and sugar goes to blister.

Tonight, she comes home.
And the space will say:
“I missed you so much, I even risked third-degree burns to make it look nice.”

This is day eight
Today is for flame and flourish.
For one last act of solo theater.
For loving her enough to turn chaos into ceremony.
