Wood Duck -- Male (Aix sponsa); Albuquerque, NM, Tingley Beach Park [Lou Feltz]

            This popular urban park is heavily visited by the Albuquerque public. Many of these well-meaning people bring food like popcorn and bread to feed the ducks. While I don't personally approve of feeding wildlife, I don't judge them too harshly... they truly mean well. I also take advantage of the altered behavior of the wild waterfowl... they are fearless here, and often approach to within a few feet of my location on shore.
