South Esk River in the Cataract Gorge

With the Trevellyn Dam several kilometres upstream from here, the river flow is normally very sedate. Here's a view from an older photo of the section of river at Duck Reach: www.flickr.com/photos/luminosity7/48951822636/in/datepost...

Given that this is the rapid flow within 24 hours of the first major rainfall event, there is still plenty more water to be washed over the dam and into the lower reaches of the South Esk River.
