Welsh Marches Express Leominster Herefordshire 1990-91

            We lived for a few years in the early 90s in Bromyard, Herefordshire which gave me the chance to see main line steam on the former joint Great Western Railway and LNWR line between Hereford & Shrewsbury at Leominster only 13 miles away. This short video highlights a few of the Welsh Marches Express railtours.

1) LMS Princess Royal Class 4-6-2 6201 Princess Elizabeth heads south through the station on 30th November 1991.
2) LMS Princess Coronation Class 4-6-2 46229 Duchess of Hamilton also heading south on 31st August 1991.
3) LMS 8F 2-8-0 48773/8233 from the SVR arrives sedately from the south past Leominster's South End 1853 signal box on 21st September 1991.
4) British Railways 4-6-2 70000 Britannia speeds southwards on 21st September 1991.
5) Great Western King 4-6-0 6024 King Edward I heads through the station towards Hereford on 24th June 1990.

The long span of the public footbridge at the north end of the station crosses the former Bromyard & Kington branch platforms and sidings.
