Whalley Lancashire 2nd September 2020

            I've been wanting to capture a steam special on Whalley Arches for some time but I'm not sure if this evening was the best time to finally do it. It was raining, Longridge Fell behind the viaduct was lost in the mist and with the grey skies the light was almost gone at 19.04.

Still, 7P 4-6-0 46100 Royal Scot looked and sounded the part as she powered up the gradient out of the Calder valley with the returning Saphos Rails Fellsman.
