12) Great Central Railway Swithland Leicestershire 12th May 2019

            Number 12 in the virtual 2020 Goods Galore Gala!.

After running non-stop through Rothley station on British Railways Standard 2 2-6-0 78018 with the diner we got a single yellow on the Section and then red at the Home. Fowler 3F 0-6-0T 47406 was standing on the Up main as we were signalled into the Down Loop a few seconds later. I thought he would be tailing us but he crossed over, ran past us and came into the loop from the north. Then at 14.34 we double-headed the train smokebox-to-smokebox back to Loughborough non-stop, passing 73156 on the Up before Quorn.
