Posting from a back-up borrowed laptop. My PC is dead, again, and this time I am really worried that it might be terminal. Cooling system failure with horrendous grinding noise and a core temperature warning on attempted reboot (before I realised it was the water cooling pump making the noise). I have shielded during the pandemic, as you know, and have now expended my savings - if this is terminal then I don't know what I will be able to do. Please keep your fingers crossed that no damage has been done to the motherboard and more. I won't know until next week as my repair shop is closed at the weekend.

Thank you for your patience as I try to navigate my way around on this old and slow laptop.
