PRR 1187 & 7002

            In the then new Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, where the light was better from the balcony and the view better of the little H3. This little H3 is probably my alltime favorite PRR engine. Even had a model of it on my HO layout. After all were thought out of existance this little survivor turned up stored in a stone quarry near Birdsboro, Pa. The PRR boutght it back and restored it for the 1939 New York World's Fair. It was built in 1888 at the Altoona shops and is one of the first classes to feature the Belpaire firebox. 2-8-0 consolidation wheel arrangements were consider R class engines for the PRR at the time.
