Le petit porteur de trompe tibétaine

            C’est jour de fête à Lamayuru, important  monastère du bouddhisme tibétain de la région du Ladakh, à l’extrême nord de l’Inde, dans la chaîne de l’Himalaya. Toute la population, très pieuse, s’est donnée rendez-vous dans l’enceinte de l’établissement où auront lieu chants et danses religieux. De nombreux moines y sont bien sûr rassemblés et les plus hautes autorités religieuses honorent la fête de leur présence. Ce jeune moine rêveur, les yeux un peu dans le vague, les accompagne et est chargé de porter, en bandoulière sur son dos, une de ces traditionnelles et incontournables  trompes tibétaines

It is a feast day in Lamayuru, an important Tibetan Buddhist monastery in the Ladakh region, in the far north of India, in the Himalayan range. The whole population, very pious, met in the grounds of the establishment where religious songs and dances will take place. Many monks are of course gathered there and the highest religious authorities honor the feast with their presence.
